This customer, Mr. Pantone, feels we somehow damaged his vehicle, more specifically, his muffer. First, he said that we "conned" him into using our service which was $83 more expensive than another quote he had gotten. I did not coerce, nor force him to use our service. Then he said we had damaged his muffler. Why? Because it was new and quiet when we picked up the car, and now that is was delivered in a safe and timely manner, it was now noisy...so that means, in his mind, that we must have damaged it. When i asked if he noted the noisey muffler on his Bill of Lading at delivery, he simply said he did not.
We take full responsibility for any and all damage we cause during transport. However damage that occurs after shipment or is not directly caused by us is out of our scope of responsibility. I tried to explain that to Mr. Pantone, however he refused to listen and kept saying that we had conned him and he was going to slander us on every web site he could find.
If we are at fault, we accept it. However, we cannot help but wonder if we were the ones being conned???
