I did a lot of research on auto shipping around the net. I found inconsistent (damage to cars, dirt etc) reviews for several 'large' companies with unreliable customer service reps. I have a new Toyota Prius and thought it would be prudent to ask my dealership for a recommendation. I figured they would be most knowledgeable.
My dealership gave me a name but the company did not ship nationwide. So I decided to call all the Toyota dealerships around the Bay Area. I called Palo Alto Toyota and a man by the name of Luis Sanchez told me about Farris and Sons. He said this was the guy he went to when he wanted his cars shipped anywhere.
I called Farris and Sons and told them where I wanted my car and when I wanted it shipped. They sent me a quote, an order form. The options for payment are in full, 50% deposit and 50% on delivery or 100% on delivery.
Farris and Sons gave me a call and told me the car was going to get picked up within a 3 day window. They came, examined all the scratches, signed it off and took it away. The driver called me 2 days before pick up, I thoroughly reviewed for any new scratches (nothing noticable), signed it off and drove off.
From Oakland, Ca to Syracuse Ny, 7 days from pick up to arrival.
I highly recommend Farris and Sons.
