Micheal was very friendly upon first contact. I believed I was calling a trucking company which had actual trucks and drivers employed. After some back and forth we agreed on a price of $650 to ship a Vespa from CA to FL. He asked for a $200 deposit and said I could pay the driver the balance of $450 in cash upon delivery. As it turns out Mr Wallberg is a broker and simply farms out jobs to the actual drivers in exchange for a FEE of $200. He did not at any time make this disclosure to me and in fact concealed that fact during our emails. However, his contract which in large font and in bold described my $200 as a deposit, in very fine print below reveals the truth that it is in fact a FEE for dispatch. So the driver arrives and demands $600. I tell her there is a mistake and my balance is $450. She refuses to budge even though I revealed to her the fraud. She never delievered the item and I was left with no recourse other than to report the Vespa stolen and prepare legal against Mr. Micheal Wallberg. Note he has a NY phone number, a Florida FAX number, the website says "united trucking corp" and he emails show a return address of "united-move.com". Clearly this man makes a living scamming people under various company names. Basically not only did he steal my $200 but he also stole my Vespa and his driver says I will have to pay "storage fees" until I pay their ransom. I plan to contact the police to report this felony theft as well as pursue all civil remedies.
