Great beginning, then saw their true colors

I found myself in an emergency situation and needed to get my car shipped from California to Tennessee fast. I called a couple of places, and one place said there is no way they could guarantee same-day pickup. I called Showtime and spoke to Conrad, and he was more than helpful to find me a driver to pick up my car that day. I had a few questions about having items in the car as I was going to drive my car before deciding to ship the car. He assured me if it is under 150 lbs and with nothing too valuable, it will be fine. Since I had a quick pick-up they asked for $150 over my original quote, I understood and asked for a little break, which he offered immediately. I was very happy with the service I was getting so far. When the driver showed up, he was more than unhappy with the fact that I had stuff packed in the car. He said no one could've told me that I can have things in my car, so I tried to call Conrad and couldn't reach him. The driver took the car, and asked me to call Conrad when I could. So, I did. Again, he seemed to be more than helpful and said he would see what the problem is and talk to his supervisor, Adrian. I get a call from Adrian almost immediately. He said that they do normally allow items to be shipped in the car, but they should not be visible. I said no one had explained that to me or else I would have followed the directions. He said it was a miscommunication but I should pay the fee the driver asks for. This seemed weird to me that he did not want to accept any responsibility. I asked if the driver requests the money that they pick it up since it was their fault for misinforming me. He said he couldn't do it. Any business has policies in place to be able to help out a customer, especially if they were at fault. I asked if he would split it with me, he was not at all accomodating, and actually said, "Shit Happens". This made me realize I was not talking to a professional. Actually, the driver was very friendly and did not demand any money, but I felt bad about the misunderstanding and paid him half of the fee he had requested. He seemed very happy with that. Next time, I will not be using the service of unprofessionals such as Adrian and will call the driver himself. He was WAY more professional. But, I do want to say Conrad was helpful, although, he did misinform me.
