Quality Transport LLC was scheduled through Tony @ LGI, Inc. to pick up a company show vehicle on April 18th with a delivery date of April 22nd or April 25th and no later than April 27th. The vehicle was destined for a show with move-in of the vehicle on April 28th. The driver was a day late in picking up, April 19th. When he called to confirm what time he would be arriving, he told me to just leave the keys with our receptionist so he could just grab them and go. I explained to him that someone from our company always attends the vehicle pre-load inspection. He seemed irritated and said he could do that himself but I further explained that it's company policy and someone would be going over the vehicle with him. On April 28th my customer called to say the vehicle had not yet arrived so I called Tony at LGI. Tony in turn called the driver many times with no response so he called Ed, the owner. After several attempts Tony finally spoke to Ed who informed him that the driver had had some sort of power steering failure and was getting the tow rig repaired and estimated he would be able to deliver the next day, April 29th. April 29th the vehicle was not delivered and Ed the owner who informed Tony that the driver then allegedly had some sort of family emergency. Tony finally reached the driver who claimed he had already dropped off the vehicle and had the receptionist at the destination sign for it. I called our customer and they confirmed the vehicle was NOT anywhere on or near their facilities and that the receptionist was not allowed to sign off for anything without express approval. After that, despite repeated phone calls from Tony, myself and several of our company personnel there was no response whatsoever from either the driver or Ed, the owner. This resulted in numerous texts and phone calls going back and forth between my company personnel, our customer's personnel and Tony @ LGI on the 29th, frantically trying to locate our vehicle. I even called the local police to see what could be done. We did not hear anything further regarding our show car until late on the 30th when one of our employees finally reached the driver and the car was delivered 2 hours later. The vehicle was delivered with barely time to spare for the show. It was frightening not knowing where the vehicle was and if it was stolen, wrecked, if it would make it to the show on time for the better part of 2 1/2 days! The driver flat out lied saying he had delivered the vehicle when in fact he had not and his story about a family emergency dubious at best. We still don't know the real story!! Then we discovered that there were considerably more miles on the show vehicle than when it left our facility. We will NEVER, EVER use Quality Transport LLC again and would strongly advise that no one else use them either.
