There is a kink in the tail pipe system indicating that there was an impact as well as the 8 hangers holding the system were missing. THEREFORE, that was why the mechanic that worked on the car indicated to me that it the damage was DEFINITELY a result of incorrectly loading and/or unloading the car. I encourage that you contact the mechanic and owner, Rick of La Mesa Muffler and Brake as he is the professional. His number is on the invoice. Also, the O2 sensor was RIPPED out of the socket and the catalytic converter was off that was the other indicator. I have pictures as well. If either Preferred Trucking or United Auto Movers does not respond to me with a plan on reimbursement of the full $709 in damages in which YOUR driver caused to this car and did not disclose to me when dropping off, within the next 7 days (end of day 9/22), I WILL be filing complaints with every BBB, transport reviews, Yelp and a small claim suit. The mechanic can explain to the judge of what happened. I WILL NOT let this issue drop!!

I am writing to you because my broker, whom I originally scheduled my son's car to be transported through, Joe, the owner of United Auto Transport is not returning any of my messages or emails. I submitted on Sept 3rd, 2011 the email and attached pictures of the damage done to my son's car while transported and dropped off the evening of Sept 2nd. I will follow this email with the results of the visit to La Mesa Muffler & Brake.

The last time I talked to Joe from United Auto Transport he ensured that either his insurance or your insurance will cover the damages resulting in $709. Again, I haven't heard anything from him and he told me that I would receive a call back about 6 days ago so at this point I am getting very angry! Please reply back asap on what is going to be done on this.

Bill from mechanic will follow this email.

Subject: Claim-Nissan Maxima

Hi Joe,
We have a problem with the Nissan Maxima that was just transported yesterday. My son arrived this afternoon who owns the car and noticed that someone stole the catalytic converter and we found the muffler in the trunk! I checked with my Dad who was storing the car at his car lot for the summer where the driver picked it up at and he said that it was definitely not like that when it left here. I didn't notice that when the guy dropped off the car, he basically backed it off the truck and let it coast and parked it, I didn't notice how loud it was until my son started it and revved it up. He got underneath the car and notice that the catalytic converter was gone with the O2 sensor hanging as well as the muffler was missing, but we did find the muffler in the trunk. I have a quote from a local muffler shop, which will cost $350 to replace the catalytic converter and to weld the muffler back on. We have to get this done asap as it is undriveable/illegal right now. I attached pictures for proof. Please contact me asap about this at 815-
