OMC Auto Carrier - Awful Experience

These folks were booked for me through an auto broker. Right from the start, the cheap price concerned me. The pickup was on time, which seemed positive. I was told the car would arrive the next afternoon, but it did not. I called the driver to check-in, and he could not speak any English at all. I mean, NONE. Now, I was getting worried.

I called the broker, and she called the company. After, I received a call from the scheduler just before 5PM asking when I could be available to take delivery of the car the next morning. She said they would prefer 6AM! Being a nice guy, I agreed to take delivery at 7AM at a LARGE shopping center parking lot near my home.

Well, the driver was a no show the next morning at 7AM. Needless to say, I was annoyed. The scheduler eventually called and said he had a "flat." She asked me to be ready at 10:30AM. So, I waited at home.

At 10:40AM she called and said the driver could not get into the parking lot I suggested because it was too small. Okay, that was not true because I see tractor trailers in and out of the shopping center all the time (I had even seen one that morning). She said the driver was parked by the interstate and I needed to go find him! SERIOUSLY? I left my house and found the driver was sitting on the side of the FREEWAY in Atlanta (no joke) and I had to enter the freeway and pull over to try and talk to him (either of us could have been killed). He seemed annoyed that he could not just unload the car right there! I managed to communicate with him enough to get him to follow me one exit up to Sam's Club where he unloaded the car. He was a nice person, but my goodness, it was a fiasco.

The car arrived okay, but had grease all over the door and on the floor mats. Nice way to treat a new model Mercedes. Never again will I deal with these people, or any auto transport broker for that matter.
