I hired JMD Freight to move a vehicle within the state of Virginia for a simple quoted price. The day of the pickup, I was told that the rate had changed all of a sudden and I now owed double what was contracted. They then continued to hang the remaining balance over my head, threatening not to complete the pickup (which could only happen that day).
JMD is a broker and works with other transport companies to complete the requested transport. At best, they have an inability to quote their pricing properly, or at worst, they make a habit of price gouging customers on the day of their arranged pickup.
