Hilton Auto Transport

Hilton Auto Transport is just the most amazing car transport companies ever. Here is the situation which led me to work with such a wonderful organization: I originally set up an agreement with another auto transport company -- Interstate Auto Movers (please feel free to check their reviews which I can tell you now -- though I didn't see them before -- are awful; you will also see my scathing review of that horrible place as well there :) ) to move my car from New York to California. I went the cheap route at first because, as we all know, moving can be pretty pricey, so you have to sort of find ways to save whenver you can. Bellieve me when I tell you this, hoinestly -- DO NOT GO WITH THE CHEAPEST DEAL ALL THE TIME!! That is especially true when it comes to a valuable possession like your car. Please blieve me on this, it will save you troubles down the road. After missed windows and no call backs from Interstate, I decided to look around for another shipper. I came across this website and then, came accross the wonderful company known as Hilton.
I picked Hilton for a number of reasons: First off, they are highly rated by other reviewers (which can be misleading as paranoid ol' me sometimes thinks that the companies themselves supply their own glowing reviews to boost their reputation ); I discovered that they had so many glowing reviews -- too many to be made up or anything -- that they had to be a legitimate company. Second, and very important -- they are a member of the BBB, which, to me, says that they are committed to providing good service -- so much so that they will try to fix any problem should they happen; places that are not a member of the Better Business Bureau, you should be aware of. Finally, they provided really excellent customer service before I signed up; unlike the other company I dealt with, they presented their service and the rules and regulations in simple. common sense terms and were able to sufficiently answer my questions and address my concerns. What is a good thing -- and you should inquire about with ANY company you go with (but, in the end, it should be Hilton :) ) is that they do charge a deposit like other companies do, but do not actually bill you for that deposit UNTIL arrangements to pick up your car have been made. Other companies (notably, Interstate) will automatically charge your card for the deposit fee, but that is no guarantee the car will ever be picked up. Here at least, you are guaranteed as much as can possibly be guaranteed due to the nature of this business.
Anyway, I went with Hilton on a Monday; by TUESDAY -- the very next day -- Karie (the most wonderful auto transport service rep ever created) called me to tell me that arrangements were made to pick up my car. This little call was far more than what Interstate -- and I suspect other companies -- did. We set up a pickup date for Friday; the transporter came Saturday which was a little incovenient but still, my car was on a truck and ready to be transported! (I know that sounds like nothing special, but anyone dealing with other bad and seedy companies can tell you that this is a great thing! :) ). I was told that it would take 6 days to go cross counrty (which sounded about right); my car made it here to Califonia in a little over 4 days!! Amazing!
All this is due in part to the actual transporter for making it here in beautiful time, butI likely would not have had such a great transporter if it wasn't for the great people at Hilton setting up the whole deal. They are amazing! Truly wonderful! Like I said they explained every aspect of the situation extremely well and were always there when and if I had a question or problem. You cannot ask for anything better than that from a auto transport company. I love these people and I am almost sad that my relationship with them -- for now -- will end (Karie -- the greatest person with the most laid back and funny attitude -- I am kinda gonna miss talking to you :( )
Please please please -- I cannot say it enough -- GO WITH HILTON AUTO TRANSPORT!!! Do it; they are more, obviously, than the cheapo Interstates that are out there (and there are alot of them), but honestly not by much; and with the little extra money you are buying great service, and most especially, peace of mind. I have already started suggesting them to friends who need the same service as I did, and will do so to anyone I should meet in the future.
