In need of transportation I called Reggie Willis Transportation Services, LLC. They gave me a very reasonable quote and hired Dealers Choice Auto Transport.
The car was delivered 3 days later, everything seems to be fine.
The driver gave me the bill of lading to sign before even unloading the car from the lower deck.
There was some major dirt and fluid on the rear glass, so I asked the driver and got "road dirt" as a reply.
Took the car to the garage and tried to take the stuff off - it started etching my hands - clear proof of battery fluid being spilled onto the glass from the car on the upper deck. The rear spoiler is all covered with dark acid dots as well as there are clear traces of paint discoloration die to caid leaking down on the side channels under the trunk.
I took the pictures right away and called the driver - not picking up. Called Reggies Willis - they suggested to call Dealers Choice. So I emailed all pictures an issues to both parties. Dealers Choice never got back to me, called them last week, they "did not look into it yet" and finaly today I was told that since I singed the bill of lading I'm screwed. Of course the Reggie Willis told me that there is nothing they can do for me as well.
The main problem is that the car has only 12500 miles on it and was in pristine condition before arriving to me... Not to mention that I'm not in business to intentional spilling the acid onto the cars being delivered by transportation companies.
I got in touch with the seller and got the confirmation that since the driver spent almost an hour inspecting the car before loading, there wer no dots or spills and nothing being noted on the bill of lading.
Basically since you pay COD the system works in transporter's favor only.
So please do yourself a favor - DO NOT TRUST the driver! Take your time and inspect the car before sigining anything.
