I looked into a dozen different companies and chose Auto Shippers America because they seem personable. However, words and actions are two different matters. I gave the company 12 days advance notice for when my car would be available and was told that was plenty of time to find a carrier. I was given a phone number and told to call the carrier 24hrs ahead of time. When the day came, I called but the carrier did not pick up. I called Auto Shippers to express my concern but was told the driver may be sleeping and that is why no one was answering. I was reassured that my car will be picked up tomorrow. Well, the next day came and no one contacted me or came by. I called Auto Shippers to find out what was going on and was told that the carrier truck broke down. I asked why didn't anyone informed me instead of keeping me waiting and was told that maybe the driver's phone was off. Didn't me sense to me but I let it go. Four days later and I am still waiting. I decided to call the carrier and asked why they didn't pick up my car. They told me they canceled my pickup a week ago because they didn't have any trucks going to my destination and that the broker (Auto Shippers America) was informed. The carrier denied that the truck broke down. In another words, Auto Shippers America LIED to me. I called them the next day to cancel the order because if they were DISHONEST to me about this, then how can I trust them? Of course they wouldn't refund my deposit. I left out a few other conversations but throughout this horrible process I got excuses after excuses without results and no carriers for my car even after 17 days from when I initially hired them.
