Contracted with Arrow Auto transport to trans port a 98 VW Jetta from Exeter N.H. to Salem N.J. at the recomendation of the car dealer.
I sent $125 down immediatly$325 tobepaid to the driver apond deliver and the paper work was faxed to them with the pertinate info and contract the next day. I called them to make sure every thing was as they needed and they assured me it was and I would be called and told when it would be picked up and delivered. Three days later i was called and told it would be delivered on either the 6th ,7th or8th of January. I told them that`s not good enough, I need to know exactly what day to set aside time to meet the truck. They said they didn`t know, and would call back after I called them amatuers.THEY DIDN`T.
I called them the next day and was assured it would be delivered on Saterday the 8th. I waited all day Sat and was never called to tell me if it was cancelled.Early Monday i called them, and they had no idea it was not delivered and would find out why. They called me to tell me the driver had a truck problem and he would deliver it that day and that he had my car ready to go.BUT HE NEVERED SHOWED AGAIN.
With out using harsh language, i sent them an E-mail telling them of the situation and asked if they had stolen my car or what.
T he next evening i got a call from the driver asking for directions at 6:30pm.He delivered it in the dark and could only inspect it by flashlight.I asked for a copy of the inspection report which he didnt have. I told the driver the trim on the side is damaged and asked how that happened and he told me he got the car from another who must have had trouble. Although the trim is easy to fix and not worth reporting ,my first and last encounter with Arrow Auto Transport left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
