I purchase an immaculate like new car with only 2000 miles on it. The paint was flawless so I contracted with All American Transport to have it shipped from Arizona to Florida in an enclosed carrier. I guess enclosed means different things to different people, but I'll get to that later. The first thing that went wrong was the delivery time kept changing. It was originally supposed to arrive about 1pm, but the driver did not show up until after 8pm. This normally would not bother me too much, but in this case getting here so late meant that it was dark outside and made it difficult to conduct a detailed inspection of the vehicle. So when the driver finally arrives, he shows up in a car hauler with fabric sides. Now I really don't care if it's fabric or metal as long as it does it's job and keeps the elements out. But in this case it did not. The car was filthy. The sides of the car was wet from where water appeared to have blown in from the sides, and the top was even covered in dried up water spots, as the driver explained that he had to pull the car in and out at other locations to load and unload other vehicles. There were spots in the paint where it was impossible to tell if it was scratched, or simply dirty. The dirt in the wheel wells looked like the car had been driven. It showed up with 2019 miles on the odometer. The seller said the odometer read 2016 when the car was picked up. Three miles isn’t much, but it’s probably more than needs to be driven moving it from one truck to another. I probably could have shipped the car in an open carrier and it would have showed up looking pretty much the same. And there was also a metal washer laying on the trunk as well that must have fell off either the loading ramps or the car stacked above it. I will never ship another vehicle with using this transporter again.
