Horrible experience

Communication was horrible from the beginning. The driver wouldn't answer the phone or return calls. He was two days late on pick up and didn't want to do door to door service as contracted. He tried to pick up the car in a location more convenient for him, and he tried to drop off the car at a different location as well. The company didn't know where the driver was on either pick up or delivery. From what I understand it was due to the GPS locator in the truck and the driver turning off his phone. At the delivery end of the process, the driver called me on a Monday at 3:30pm providing 1 1/2 hours notice to deliver my car. He wanted cash as opposed to a cashiers check, but since he didn't give 24 hours notice and called late in the day I couldn't get to the bank before they closed. He complained and was verbally abusive about having to wait until the next day to deliver the car. The next day at 10am the driver was miles away and wanted me to meet him. He complained about the hills, but in actuality, he took the wrong exit and was on the wrong side of town. Eventually, with my providing directions, he found his way to my block. He was rude at delivery and wanted me to sign the BOL without an inspection. I inspected the car and found damage (cracked windshield) that the driver would not mark on the BOL. He tried to tell me it was pre-existing damage and said I didn't take care of my car because it was dirty (covered with spring pollen). This despite him doing a very slow and detailed inspection prior to loading the car. After calling my broker and the company owner, I tried to negotiate with the driver and owner. The driver became verbally abusive and tried to reload my car to take it away. He yelled, threatened me, and even tried to shove me when I was leaning on my car door. I had to call the police for assistance. Even then the driver was rude and challenging with the police who insisted he mark the damage on the BOL. When the driver argued with the police, they called the company owner, Abdul, and had to come to an agreement on my behalf. Abdul or the driver would not work with me, but the did comply with the police. Eventually the company accepted a $200 lower price to compensate for the cracked windshield. The BOL was witnessed by the police who signed the BOL as well - the situation was that bad. It was a horribly uncomfortable and frightening situation. Without police assistance, I can't imagine what the driver would have done. The company was not helpful in calming him or managing the situation. Stay away from this company. Although the car was delivered quickly - I was the last car loaded - the two dozen phone calls and hassle to get the car picked up and delivered was not worth it. The harrassment I experienced upon delivery was unprofessional and unacceptable.
