I have been in contact with various departments of universal transport about my vehicle transport requested on 12/3 for silver spring, MD to Rexburg, ID. Lola never informed me that my pick-up request for 12/6 was not reasonable, or that it might be 2 weeks before I get a driver. Eli on dispatch was utterly useless and provided me with memorized responses to what he thought my concerns were without really listening to me. Jay seemed very helpful at first, but never followed through. Sandy told me she could find me a driver by INCREASING my quoted price, telling me her coworker had "quoted me too low"- I'm sorry, that's not my problem!! After i paid for a rental car that was too small to fit my daughter's wheelchair, for two weeks. I do not feel that two weeks is a reasonable time frame and communication was very one-sided.

One Universal Transport got my deposit money, I never ONCE received a phone call from ANYONE although multiple people told me they would call me back or handle my case personally. They answered my calls, but never called me. The ball was constantly dropped by each and every department. I finally wised up and called to cancel my request on 12/20 or 21 through dispatch. The cancelation process seemed all to informal, and I was afraid that the order was not cancelled and they had my credit card info. I was informed that i would receive an email from accounting confirming the cancellation. Two weeks later, I was still waiting for that confirmation and had left multiple (>10) voicemails with the accounting department, who seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth.

All in alL, I have NEVER EVER EVER been more disappointed in any company I have ever done business with and am beginning to suspect the whole operation is a scam. I must say that I think all the 4-star ratings on this site are fake and I suspect that there is someone hired specifically to post fake reviews, because every zero-star review I have read was almost EXACTLY my experience with the company: "late or no pickup, no communication (especially once money was taken), increased price quotes after contracts signed". There are apparently 2000 other auto transport companies. This one tries to get customers by low-balling quotes and then jacking up the price once contracts are signed and deposits are taken. That is not what I call "honest, trustworthy, and reliable" (as their answering service states). Universal Transport's utterly failed to communicate and to meet expectations.

Do not be fooled by the positive reviews on this site. You will regret doing business with this company.

WE MADE FULL EFFORT TO MOVE HER CAR. THE TRAFFIC FROM MARYLAND - IDAHO HAD CALLED FOR HIGHER RATES DUE TO THE PROBLEM IN IDAHO WHERE THE TRAFFIC WAS VERY LOW AND THE TRUCKERS HAD TO COMPETE BY TAKING VEHICLES AT A VERY LOW RATE, HOWEVER, THEY HAD TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE FOR CARS LEAVING THE EAST COAST. THIS SHIPMENT WAS OVER 3000 MILES. WHEN WE REALIZED THE PROBLEM WE CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE ONE OF THE TRUCKS REQUIRED MORE MONEY. WE ARE DOING THIS 10 YEARS AND ARE VERY UPFRONT WITH OUR CUSTOMERS. WE DEFINITELY TRY TO SATISFY ALL, HOWEVER, ONCE IN A WHILE SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK OUT AS QUOTED. OUR APOLOGIES.AND AS YOU ALL READY KNOW YOUR DEPOSIT HAS BEEN REFUNDED IN FULL.
