Stolen Items

I packed up some bedding (sheets, blankets, etc) into the car with several other non-valuable items, and was told by the drivers that I could and actually encouraged me to put stuff into the car, but certainly "at my own risk" which I understood but didn't think that anyone would want to steal any of these items. Upon deliver of my car, strangely the bag containing my bedding was the only item that was missing, trust me they weren't Ralph Lauren bedding, they were quite old and used. I contacted the company and was told that I should not have put ANY stuff in my car, contrary to what I was told by the drivers, and that the bag containing my bedding may not have been put back into the car after a weigh-in (bedding doesn't weigh that much). I won't accuse anyone of anything, but the only people who had access to the car were the drivers and there wasn't any evidence of forced entry into my car. I also know that it gets cold on the road in a car transporter.
