TriStar used unethical scam/scare tactics to try and collect additional fees. We chose a standard pickup at $0 additional cost. The vehicle was picked up within 1 week (scheduled by TriStar) and delivered to us 2 days later. When the delivery was made, the driver's contract stated that he HAD to collect a total of $485.00(the amount of our ENTIRE contract, INCLUDING our deposit of $175.00...we SHOULD HAVE ONLY OWED $310.00). The driver could NOT release the vehicle UNLESS we paid the full $485.00 & told us that we would have to fight TriStar to get the $175.00 back. Upon our written email request to TriStar they then fired back that they want an additional $275.00 from us for expediting fees (we did NOT request!) and that if we didn't pay within 10 days they will put it into collections against us! I believe in the US Judicial System & think that TriStar is just the type of company that the Attorney General's office wants to put into their proper place! I've already filed the complaint with the US Dept. of Transportation FMCSA! I do NOT RECOMMEND USING TRISTAR...YOU ARE BETTER OFF WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THAT DOESN'T TRY TO SCAM PEOPLE!!!
