OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4 STARS.
Stateway Auto Transports: customer service phone line was busy most of the time; but when connected the person of contact 'Susie' responded in quite professional manner.
The quote was later sub-contracted out to Empire Auto Transport based out of Bronx(?), NY. I was dealing with "John". Initial experience was unpleasant due to the following reason: On the date of the p/u, I was notified by "John" that the p/u time would be at 1:30pm; I was expecting him to show up at approx time as he stated. However, I waited & waited. At 2:30pm, still no one showed up & no phone call update. I tried to call back on two phone numbers available (one provided by Susie, one from the caller ID from "John"), I was not able to connect to any number.
Finally I received a second call from "John" at approx 4pm, that a tow truck will be meeting me at 5pm, which did show up on time later.
The car was delivered two days earlier than estimated date (which I like).
So, overall, I think my experience w/ this auto transport request will be much better if "John" can improve his professional courtesy to his customer(s) by being on time.
