Having never used Auto Transport services before, I was very leery of the entire process. Everyone promises the same thing and it's hard to tell one carrier/broker from another.
After searching the Internet and looking at reviews, etc I decided to put my money with Stateway. This was due to three primary reasons - 1. Their feedback/rating on this site was excellent; 2. They are insured as a broker AND carrier through the DOT site and have the appropriate licenses (not all do); 3. They weren't the cheapest or most expensive (this means that my load wasn't going to wait for someone desparate enough to take the price nor was I overpaying for the job).
I worked with Susie who was very understanding of my questions and provided all the right answers. She got everything set and ready for their dispatcher to get a carrier for my load. Within 24hrs of posting my load on "the board", I had a carrier call and set up a time for picup.
The carrier was prompt, courteous and kept me updated on his status. The original, agreed, delivery was 5 days after pickup and he actually had my load there 2 days early!!
I highly recommend Stateway and their carriers!!
