I had to send my Toyota Corolla from Berkeley, CA to Jacksonville, FL. Once I started shopping, I got quotes from $925 all the way to $1150. So I turned to Transport Reviews to figure out what others had experienced. Once there, it was clear that Honesty First Auto Transport (HFAT) had by far the best reviews, so although they did not have the lowest price, I decided to go with them and I am glad that I did. Tom Miller was the agent I dealt with. He explained that all companies used the same method which was posting your route on a bulletin board for all the trucking companies to see and decide if the rate posted will be good enough for them. Once somebody picks up your transport, then you deal with them sort of directly . In my case, it was National Auto Moving Inc. who took my deal within half a day. Tom e-mailed me with the news and a phone number for them and a couple of hours later, somebody from company called to arrange a pickup. The only problem I had here was that they required a large shopping center nearby so that they could load the truck in its parking lot. So I guess the door to door service that you see advertised really does not mean anything. At any rate, I took my car to the shopping center on Wednesday around 11:30, the driver and his truck were there already (Jeffrey, the driver, per my request had called me an hour earlier so that there would not be any waiting), it took less than half an hour for the "pre-existing damage check" which I must say was very unforgiving! Once that was done, Jeffrey told me that he should be in Jacksonville by the following Thursday. To my surprize and delight, the car was delivered on Monday which was amazing. Especially since I had mailed all the paper work to my party in Jacksonville on Thursday using US postal service's priority mail, and the car got there before my mail!!

In conclusion, although I was at first somewhat irritated by the fact that the truck could not come to the area which would have been convenient for me, all in all, I could not have asked for better service both from Honestly First and National Auto Moving.
