NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, use this Company. They will lie to you, charge additional amounts to your credit card without your permission, and then "hold your vehicle hostage" upon delivery if you don't pay them more money - that is, if they ever get around to picking your vehicle up at all. These people cannot be trusted. We contracted with Secure (hah!) Auto Transport in early February 2008 for our move from California to Florida which was to take place at the end of May 2008. Our car was to be picked up on May 28, 2008. Secure kept promising that the car would be picked up "Thursday" then "Monday" then soon the story became, "oh, we don't have a driver for your area." When the car was finally picked up and delivered, we were more than three weeks in Florida without our second vehicle. To top it off, although we confirmed that we were to pay the driver the balance due of $775 upon delivery, when he arrived on June 24, he demanded an additional $150, which we had no choice but to pay, otherwise, they were going to keep our car. Was was really the straw that broke the camel's back is that when the driver demanded that we pay an additional $150, I thought he was referring to the deposit amount we paid to Secure Auto back in February. So to prove that I had paid it, I got out my credit card statement. As it turns out, Secure Auto charged us a $300 deposit XXXnot the $150 that we contracted for. So, the $925 quote that we got, which was the reason we decided to contract with Secure in the first place, turned into a $1225.00 fee - which we never agreed to. I would vehemently discourage any reasonable person from doing business with this company. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as any other Federal, State, and Local authority who will listen. This company's tactics are tantamount to criminal.
