I work for a car dealer & we sold a car to a gentleman in Florida. We thought no biggie, we'll ship it. We were wrong. It was a horrible ordeal trying to get the vehicle shipped. Where to begin, we originally contracted with M & E Transport, HUGE mistake. They sat on the deal, gave us the run around, wouldn't return calls- and this was all BEFORE they had even picked up the car. Boy were we blessed to have backed out when we did, we gave them 2 weeks.
I started making calls & checking the internet. I found this web site & River City. From my first call to Jeff, he was upfront, honest, & dependable. HE got a quote together & called back promtly. He explained to me how this car shipping industry works. I explained to him we were in a pickle & needed to get a car moved ASAP, I needed it there yesterday. He was sincere when he said he understood & would see what he could do to get it there as quick as possible. Let me tell you, HE ALWAYS CALLS TO FOLLOW UP. After the quote, he called. After we contracted with them & gave a deposit, he called. When the car was delivered, he called. I don't know about you, but that means a lot-PEACE OF MIND! Also, I feel he truly values our business.
In the end, our car was picked up & delived to the exact day they promised. I found River City online late on January 19. I talked to Jeff & contracted with them on Friday, 1-20-06. We scheduled our car to be picked up the following Monday, 1-23-06 and to be deliverd Thursday, 1-26-06. Our delivery was contracted with Tony Holtz Trucking, we were even given our driver's name & cell number! Well, Tony Holtz & River City came through!!
Jeff even called to let me know that he had confirmation our car was to our customer. It made it nice for me to be able to call Mr. Customer with confidence & follow up.
