Submitted this review about Redline Auto Transport Review made Live: 6/1/2011 2:27:00 PM
Almost a year ago, in June of 2010, Red Line Auto Transportation shipped an almost new car from California to New York. When I received it, the car had been significantly damaged. I immediately documented the damage and noted it on the bill of lading, and notified the supervisor at Red Line. He assured me that they would take care of the damage and asked me to get estimates. I did so, (The amount at issue is approximately $2,000) and sent everything to the company along with photos. They again promised to take care of it, and then, stopped returning my calls and e-mails. I called and e-mailed for almost 6 months. Through the entire process, they have misled me and evaded responsibility.
When I called the insurance company they told me that since the insured (redline) has not cooperated, the insurer will close the claim for "lack of interest." Quite simply, I'm stunned that someone could avoid paying for damage they admit to causing merely by failing to cooperate with their insurance company.
It's outrageous- they people are outright crooks- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AND IF YOU FIND OUT THEY ARE SHIPPING YOUR CAR FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!!!
