My auto move was because my car was not operable. Mark Kukla of Red Carpet was very helpful in getting my car moved. I considered Mark a "friend" and put a lot of trust in him since he said that he had been in the car industry for 20 years or so. The move went reasonable well at first but then I got a call from Red Carpet's subcontractor "Top 9 Transport Inc" .They informed me that my car was scratched. I thought the scratch was minor and possible on the air dam since it was an older Corvette and low to the ground. However, When Top 9 delivered my car the "scratch" turned out to be $3000 in damages!!! Top 9 said that they would pay and Mark Kukla acted like yes not a problem they will pay...Ha. However when I asked to have my repairs fixed both Top 9 and Red Carpet ran like Cock Roaches in the night. I really expected Red Carpet to step in and reimburse me or at least force Top 9 to "do something" since Mark had been so helpful previously. Mark basically said "...what do you want me to do they are out of state..." and never returned any of my emails.
Was I naive? Probably, but Red Carpet touted their insurance, bonding, and all of their other credentials. Their website also states this too. At least I expected Red Carpet to live up to what they told me over the phone and what their website promised, however they did NOTHING. They didn't help in the slightest way!!!
When I wrote about this in another review the owner or Red Carpet Terry Williams (also owner of Magic Carpet, Cascade, and possible others) accused me of the following: 1.) not responding quick enough / or with the correct protocol / not notifying Red Carpet in a timely manor 2.) having my car in a storage where it was damaged- for which they are not responsible 3.) Not correctly marking the bill of laden with damage notation. 4.) or having the car damaged before it was picked up.
Well all of this is just SILLY NONSENSE. I notified Red Carpet right away, the bill of laden was clearly marked showing damage, and I have pictures of the car before transportation. and my car was not in any type of storage. Well how does Red Carpet get so many 5 star ratings??? Well, they offer you with a chance at prizes if you give them 5 STARS. THAT"S WHY THEY HAVE A LOT OF 5 STAR RATINGS. The majority of cars get transported with out damage and so the people are reasonably satisfied. However, if there is any problem, RED CARPET WILL NOT HELP YOU IN THE LEAST BIT and they will leave COMPLETELY STRANDED.
Since then, I heard that Terry Williams moved to Washington (perhaps he wore out his welcome in AZ) and started Cascade Transport. Please beware of this guy. I have read reviews where Terry Williams accused the reviewers of being competitors, not filling out correct forms, or just doing everything wrong in Terry's World.
Let me say this...All that I wanted was to have my car transported without incident. I am a busy family man with small kids I don't have the inclination to spend a lot of time of this guy ...Do you??? Do you really want to waste time on Terry Williams, Red Carpet, Magic Carpet, Cascade or what ever he's calling himself today? If not then DON"T USE THIS GUY OR ANY OF HIS SERVICES AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE INSURANCE THROUGH YOUR REGULAR INSURANCE BEFORE PROCEEDING BECAUSE IT IS MY BELIEF MANY OF THESE TRANSPORT COMPANIES ARE LOW LIFE COCK ROACH OPERATIONS IN AN INDUSTRY THAT HAS LOW PROFITS, INTENSE COMPETITION, AND NO MORALS
