Refused to admit damage to vehicle!

Note: This is my first time having a vehicle transported.

BACKGROUND:
NAA transport was contracted by Cathy at Big Brothers Auto Transport to bring a recently purchased BMW 325 Convertible from Los Angeles to Portland, OR. This was her first experience with NAA. The vehicle was picked up in a timely manner and delivered late in the evening in a darkened parking lot a mile from my house.

PROBLEM 1:
After signing for the vehicle, I drove it the mile to my house and pulled into the garage. I IMMEDIATELY noticed that there was damage to the front edge of the hood (just below the BMW badge) as though something had hit it. The paperwork did not show the damage when the vehicle was picked up and was obscured by the dirt/bugs/darkness at the time of delivery.

I called Alex, the driver, and told him of the damage about an hour after the delivery. He came and inspected it the next day and said that he must have missed the damage on pick up. I confirmed with the seller that no damage existed prior to being put onto the truck and relayed this to Alex.

I took the car to two body shops. BOTH said the dents were fresh, and that it appeared as though something had been bumping into the front of the car.

PROBLEM2:
Alex now admits that the damage was not there prior to the pick up. He asserts that it was me who ran into something between the time of pick up and pulling into my garage. He says that since I signed for it, and that it is a used car, that there is nothing he will do.

RESOLUTION:
After threatening a small claims action. NAA agreed to have the car examined by a body shop they are familiar with and come to a reasonable compromise.

HOWEVER:
Since agreeing to this resolution. ALL communication has ceased, and they are NOT returning any calls.

THEREFORE:
I would recommend using this firm WITH CAUTION!!!! I would strongly urge other brokers to be wary of this transportation company.
