We ordered a service to transport our car from Long Island, NY to Portland, OR. The car should be picked up June 20. But at that time, nobody called us before or on June 20. We had to call the contact person, Gil. He told us the truck was broken down, and it should be in Long Island next day (June 21). Next day (June 21) nobody called us. We called this company again. Somebody told us, THE TRUCK IS BETWEEN EAST COAST AND WEST COAST (what a nonsense!). We called again. This time, Gil told us the driver waited for the whole day for delivery a car because the driver couldn't find the person for delivery. June 22 (Friday), we called Gil again. This time, he said the driver should go to pick up our car in several hours. But after a while, he called us our car would be picked up on June 27 or 28 (in almost a week). June 22 we had to leave for Oregon. So we asked our friend to help us to take care of this matter.

June 26 (Tuesday) the carrier (this time we got the phone number of the carrier, thanks!) called our friend the driver would pick up the car on Thursday (June 28). Our friend waited for the whole Thursday day. But the driver didn't show up and didn't make any call. Our friend waited for the whole Friday. We called the carrier on Friday. He told us the driver would be in Long Island Friday night. Unfortunately, our friend has her own things to do on Saturday, and couldn't wait for another whole day before 4 pm. On Saturday, the driver called our friend. Our friend asked the driver if he could wait a couple of hours. The driver said either picked up right now, or canceled the service.

This is the whole story with our order with this company. Right now we want to cancel this order. However, this company didn't want to refund our $200 deposit. Not sure if they have the right to do this. We hope that we can file a complaint somehow!

This is Alex McKenzie, the Assistant General Manager for Move On Time, Inc. According to our records, Guanming Wu, order #A497343, made a reservation to have his Toyota Corolla picked up on July 2, 2007. This is actually the same day he filed his complaint with this website. We were not behind schedule when he posted this review of our company. It seems to me that Mr. Wu was trying to get a free or severely discounted transport from us. Move On Time is one of the few quality auto transportation companies in the industry and we do not appreciate having our name and reputation tarnished by this man's comments.
