Thank you for your feedback. Montway depends on responsible customers such as yourself to inform us when a carrier does not perform to the level expected. The trucker has been reported to our Carrier Compliance department.
In some big cities such as L.A., truckers driver will pick the vehicle up and drop it off as close to your home as he can legally and safely get. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. Transport trucks are enormous and need a lot of room to maneuver and turn around, so if access to your home is restricted by narrow streets, low-hanging trees, speed bumps or tight turns the driver may ask that you meet the truck at a larger more open location so he can offload your vehicle safely.
To address the delay you mentioned. This route is a 2600 mile, 7-9 day route. you stated that your vehicle was picked up on 07/12/2017 and delivered on 07/15/2017 which is 3 days in transit. Our records indicate that the vehicle was picked up on 07/07/2017 and delivered on 07/15/2017. Both transit times are well within the estimated transit time of 7-9 days. Additionally, all service dates in the auto transport industry are only estimated. Traffic delays, detours, speed limits, weather delays, mandatory rest stops, pickup/delivery client availability delays, weight station check-ups, police inspections, truck breakdowns, driver's health issues, are just some of the issues that cannot be anticipated. We understand this is potentially inconvenient for customers. Thus the provided estimated dates could vary by several days. We understand that this caused inconveniences for you and we sincerely apologize, as we try to make sure the transit goes as smooth as possible.
The situation has been successfully resolved with the customer.
