I read the reviews of the company I used last years and it appeared that they went down hill so I read other revies to find another carrier. After reading the reviews I picked Magic Carpet to do the transport of my mothers car from Florida to Ohio.
Pros: Kathy at Magic Carpet way a joy to work with. The car was picked up a day early and delivered a day early once a truck had been assigned to my order. The driver Tom from Busy Bee Auto Transport was polite, professional and always stayed in touch with me regarding the delivery status of the car. I could tell that the car was well taken care of.
Cons: I placed the order to pick up the car on March 26, 2009 and it was not until April 30, 2009 that a truck was assigned to my order. The quoted price was $585.00 but in order to secure a truck over 30 days after the order was placed I was asked to pay an additional $50.00 to get a truck assigned. I agreed and they finally assigned a truck. I wish I would have been told that there may be an addition charge to secure a truck during the busy season in Florida.
Overall Kathy and Magic Carpet did I a good job and I will use them again next year.
