John,
First of all we do not use "contracts", we do not take a deposit up front so it is not considered a contract. We use shipping orders that that offer our clients the protection of our terms and conditions.
Often times when a client assistant knows that you are being charged for storage, they will go out and solicit carriers to pick your vehicle quickly, or faster than our normal 1-10 day window outlined in our terms and conditions. If the client assistant secures a carrier which will pick it up quickly, however wants more money to do so then we bring the bid back to you and let you decide if you want to pay the extra price. John you could have turned this down and we feel confident that we would have gotten it picked up in our normal time frame.
This isn't bait and switch, this is more along the lines of you failing to recognize that your account rep did a good job for you. In any case please accept my apologizes for our short comingsand as always we will use this review to better our performance in the future.
