Used Magic Carpet to deliver three (3) new F-450 cab chassis purchased from out of state dealerships who were asking for more than $2k per truck. Magic Carpet quoted $1899 for two of them from San Antonio, TX to Dixon, CA and $899 for the third from San Antonio to Richmond, CA.

Customer service rep Stephanie was very helpful and responsive with what I assume was a non-standard order (seems like they don't do many larger vehicles). Took a couple different tries to find carriers who could accomodate the larger wheel-based (4 wheels in the back).

One of the carriers was very responsive and timely. Called to confirm directions and delivery window and was there on time. The second was only ok. Spoke to him the day he came into town and arranged for a delivery time the next morning - he wanted to come as early as possible, which was fine. After he was an hour late, I called and he seemed annoyed - I think I woke him up. He also seemed surprized that I wanted him to put the outer wheels back on the trucks which had taken off in order to fit the trucks on his rig.

Only other complaint is having to pay the drivers at time of delivery in cash or money order. We were able to pay via cashiers check, but it'd be nice to be able to pay the full amount to Magic Carpet (again, they're mostly setup for handling individual private clients, which makes this understandable).

Overall, Magic Carpet seems like a good company, but since they're just a broker, it's probably luck of the draw who you're going to get.
