Total Incompetents

Magic Carpet was low bidder at $1389 to transport our 17' travel van, and said it usually took 8-12 days to arrange a carrier. After a MONTH I emailed them to see what in the world was going on. My email was not answered. A week later I called on the phone, and was told that the contract had been cancelled. They never called, never emailed, to let me know that this had occurred. When I complained, they got the manager for me, who gave me a long, rambling explanation about how they had an automated quote system that popped up the quote for a sedan instead of a camper van; that gas prices had gone up; that the contract had probably been cancelled because they hadn't been able to find a carrier. He said I probably hadn't gotten my email because my spam blocker stopped it. That was not the case, as I checked my spam blocker. I have seldom in my life dealt with such an incompetent company, and at this point would not use them to pick up a pencil, let alone a vehicle worth many thousands of dollars.

MCAT uses an auto quoter that doesn't recognize vehicles the size of this Clients MOTORHOME. The order was assigned to a new rep that didn't recognize it as being under quoted or we would have never booked the order. I personally talked to this client and explained what had happened; she insisted that we continue to try to move her MOTORHOME.... HOWEVER SHE DIDN"T WANT TO PAY ANYMORE. I told her that we would still try but I felt like it wouldn't move. We always answer e mails and calls from our clients, however we are not so inclined to call a client on a daily basis to tell them no new news, especially one that has given us impossible parameters to work with Every time this client called we either spoke to her or called her back EVERYTIME. This client needed a magician not an auto broker. Frankly if we were magical instead of MCAT we'd solve world hunger and end the wars of the world, get rid of motorcycle police and above all.... taken care of this clients needs. Since we are not magical I apologize to this client for our failures.
