My experience started with a contract to move a car from the east coast to California. I was told it would cost $1100 and that it would take about a week. There was no disclosure that Lekpe Auto Transport is a broker and that the quote is not reliable. I had to move the date once, but with plenty of advanced notice. There was no discussion of a price increase or a reduction in the delivery commitment at the time. Two days before the car was to be picked up I was told the price had gone up by $200. I asked that Lepke Auto Transport honor the original price quote. Tobias, the owner, would not do this. I paid the extra cost because I was under time constraints. The car arrived one day late and was delivered by an unreliable carrier that probably only operates through brokers to maintain separation from the final customer.
