No respect for anyone's car

My experience with Indepedent Transport is a rating of a 1, which is noted for getting the car from NY to FL in one piece. What I did not like was the several scratches from the chains due to Independent Transport. My car was not delivered "door to door" because they stated the truck was too big for the streets. If I wanted to pick up my car at another location, I would had never selected door to door service, and that was Independent Transports first mistake. I received my car on June 24, 2005 and it was sent from NY to FL on June 21, 2005. So it took approximately 4 days for delivery which was great. I did not get down to Florida to see the car until June 28, 2005. It was about 8 days later that I noticed that there were 12 scratches on the hood of my car. I had spoken to Janet at Indepedent Transport and she could not do NOTHING for me because she simply stated that it was 8 days later that I was contacting her. I had a friend pick my car up because the driver did not know where he was going. That is no kind of service. I would not recommend Independent Transport, because even though there were scratches on the top of my car due to move which was not on the original report from NY, Independent Transport should have tried to help me out with the scratches. I ended up spending about $200.00 to get the scratches compounded from the roof of my car. it is not a pleasant thing to have a car violated due to Independent Transport and their level of dealing with people is very unprofessional. They do not have any good customer service representatives that know how to handle their customers. In the future I would not use Independent Transport again. Thank you.
