Global Auto Transportation also known as AM PM Auto transport is the worst auto shipping company to deal with. They have insurance but not cargo insurance, meaning if your vehicle gets damaged during shipping process you don't have any recourse3 against them but to take them to either small claims court or to file a claim on your own insurance which i had to do because i dont have time to go to court.
They shipped my commercial vehicle on June 20th , 2011 from CA to NC. The quote i received was around $1600. I emailed them pictures of the vehicle so they know it s a dully commercial big van. They said no problem. I paid in full, and they said they carry insurance, what they failed to mention they don't carry cargo insurance. When the vehicle arrived to NC it arrived on a regular trailer, instead of a flatbead like i was told. Vehicle was damged, driver acknowledged it and signed bill of landing.
I called Global Auto Transportation- AM PM Auto Transport located in Glendale, or Los Feliz and i talked to Tony-the owner of the company, who refused to give me his insurance information. After 10 days of sending him emails , voicemails, he still refused to give me his insurance. I brought the van for an estimate and it is $4,000 worht of damage.
He refused to pay for that and also give me his insurance information. I am writting this so it helps someone else...Go to Department of transportation website or call them to check his insurance. They have bipd insurance, but if your car gets damaged it wont help you.
Their insurance as of right now is progressive insurnace located in cleveland ohio. Ph . 800-444-4487 Under am pm auto transport they have no insurance what so ever....
I had to file a claim on my insurance, which is $1,000 deductible so they can pay $4,000 worth of damages
