First of all, my experience with this company was overall a very good one with a couple of MINOR bumps along the way.
Vehicle transported was a 1987 Porsche 930.
Diana Crawford was my first point of contact. Placed the order with her on a Friday. She gave an estimated pick up window of the standard 7 to 10 days, but said it would probably be sooner. She said she would send a confermation email associated with the order which I never recieved until after the car was picked up. She also agreed to abide by my request to keep me informed by phone PRIOR to ANY activity regarding the vehicle. She informed me that should I have any questions or concerns, I could contact the office at any time. Tried to contact them over the weekend to check status of estimated pickup time/date. The company was not contactable. On monday 3 days later I called again, spoke to Diana, found out that the car had already been picked up. Asked what happened to our agreement to be notified PRIOR to pickup. She said that the driver called and left a message. I checked and in fact he did, but, after the fact. The message was to inform me that he had just completed picking up the car. After further communication with Diana, it appears that she did not accurately communicate me request to the driver.
From then on my contact was with the driver, Tim Schaeffer. Overall an excellent experience from then on. I had Tim's cell phone number and he was always contactable throughout the week either by answering right away or by returning my call in a timely manner. He kept me posted every step of the way as to whree he was, what his planned schedule was, and any updated arrival times. Throughout this whole experience, contactability for updates on the whereabouts of the car and updated schedules where of utmost importance to me over everything else.
As Tim approached the Portland area he called and we made arrangements to have the car delivered no earlier than 8am Monday morning, 7 days later. Woke up at 7:30am to find the car already unloaded and parked in the Driveway. Was a little dissapointed again as I had planned on taking photos as the car was being unloaded. Again just a small bump.
Absolutely no damage or dirt on the car. Tim and his wife Annie take great care in loading and offloading vehicles. The equipment they use to transport is very proffesional in appearance and appears to be of the highest quality for its purpose. The price quoted was very reasonable and competative with other transport companies. There were no extra charges or hidden fees.
Again, overall an excellent experience, especially in dealing with Tim and Annie. Could have gone a BIT smoother as far as my dealings with the office, but, considering some of the horror stories out there . . . . . these folks were great.
I would definetly use them again.
