After running into some of the same problems these other reviews describe and actually giving one company a deposit( which I actually did get back!!) and waited for over 3 weeks without them finding me a transporter, I found the web site for Enclosed Vehicle Transport. This is a small family run company out of Georgia. They are a bit more expensive than a "typical" transport company, but the extra cost is well worth it. Your vehicle is transported in an enclosed 2 car trailer. I had no worries once my car was picked up and the driver actually showed up at least a day earlier than I expected. He kept in contact with me from the time he was about 300 miles from me on the day he delivered the vehicle. If I ever ship a vehicle again, I will use them. If you are planning to ship a vehicle, especially a classic or high dollar vehicle, spend the extra money and have these guys transport your vehicle. Just remember, you can spend the extra money getting your car transported by them and feel completely assured it will not be damaged. Or, you can use one of the "cheaper" companies and experience the frustrations you read about on this web site and spend the money getting you vehicle repaired if they damage it. Do your research on all of these companies, and don't let the price be your determining factor.
