I called Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) about two weeks before I needed my car for work (which was the 20th). They said they would be able to get me my car by the 16th. So I went ahead and booked with them. Using their online tracker I noticed that the car had been sitting in the original terminal for a week before they moved back the delivery date five days. I called the destination terminal and they didn't even have record that they should be receiving the vehicle. I called the origin terminal and they said they had no idea when another driver would be coming to Michigan (where I live).

I subsequently called DAS and asked them to cancel my order because I absolutely needed the car before the 20th and was going to fly down and drive it back myself. After being thrown around the phone lines for a few hours someone told me that they thought they would be able to get it to me on the 16th (the original arrival estimate) and that because of such they would not wave the cancellation fee of $100 if I decided to cancel the order.

I told them that I was %100 going to cancel the order because I did not trust they would have the vehicle there on time and flew down that day to pick up my car. Again, after speaking to the origin terminal where I picked it up thew told me they had absolutely no idea when it was going to have shipped out.

I will never use DAS again. My parents have also had trouble with the company in the past. My mom's last car arrived two weeks past the arrival estimate. They also charged hundreds more than other companies I've found since.
