Highly "Not Recommended"

Man... this company sure seemed like the right choice. They were even a preferred eBay shipper, which made me think they'd be ok. But I wish I had read the reviews on this site first (strangely, I thought they had great reviews from other sites... But something's not matching up). I had two cars shipped through them from Nevada to North Carolina. I will never use them again.

First off, the cars were over a week later than promised when they finally arrived. No explanation was offered, though they said it could be weather or lack of a truck. Okay, whatever. Secondly, their "online tracking" is a joke... all it says is "In Transit" but it does not even tell you what city your car(s) are in, let alone show you anything on a map.

Now, if the two issues above had been the only things wrong, I could have dealt with it. I mean, hey, delays happen and that's fine I guess. Technically they said the delivery date was only an estimate... so okay, I get that. And even though the online tracking was no help, I could deal with that too (because if you call them by phone, they can tell you what city your car is in at least).

BUT - that was not all. Both of my cars arrived with new dents and scratches that were definitely not present at dropoff. Despite full documentation of these damages, DAS refused to fix all but one of the dents because "most of them were too small to be covered." They require that the damage area be "at least as large as a credit card" in order to file a claim. That's a pretty large dent, for crying out loud! And because some of the scrapes and dents that happened weren't fully that size, they flat-out refused to help me.

So in the end, both of my cars arrived damaged and over a week late. I didn't even get so much as a "we're sorry", let alone a partial refund credit or help with my damage claims.

The only good part of the experience? The origin and destination "terminals" were actually family-run towing facilities, and the people there were extremely nice and friendly. The ones at the destination terminal were especially kind in letting me arrange to pick up my cars outside their normal business hours; and when they saw the damage on my cars they were very happy to sign their names on my damage report paperwork and told me they hoped the best for me in getting the dents fixed. I'd give them 5 stars just for their friendliness and courtesy. But DAS themselves? Man... never again...
