Would not recommend to my worst enemy

This company will steal you money and not do ANYTHING to make it right.
My husband had been in contact with Kathy several times trying to make sure that this matter would go thru without a problem. I needed a vehicle transported from Florida to WV. I was given a quote of 375.oo plus the 100.00 deposit. I looked at the quote compared to others and it looked extremely low. My husband and I both asked repeatedly if the quote was correct. Kathy assured us both that that was an accurate quote and that they (Caviness) should have no problem getting the vehicle loaded on Feb 6th as that was the first expected pick up date. That was all said before the 100.00 deposit was taken on 1/31. My husband called Caviness on Feb 4th to inform them that the vehicle had become available and the it could be picked up at anytime. At that point, Kathy informed him that we would need to change the amount to 700.00 because someone in there office messed up the quote and didn't include the vehicle specs, while the whole time we were telling her the size of the van. Nobody was being deceptive. I called her back and let her know that that was not what was quoted, she seemed to be very apologetic and said and I quote, "I will do what ever it takes to make this right even if I have to take care of the difference myself." Of course, since there was nothing in writing, she quickly changed her mind. On Feb 6th I contacted Caviness and spoke with Kathy, of course everything had changed again. I spoke with Tammy, the wife of the owner, and she asked me to give her 24 hours to come up with something and until that Friday to get the van loaded or she would issue a full refund. Conveniently, Tammy never called back as promised. I waited all day for her to return my call on Feb 7. On Feb 8th I called at 11:00am est and asked Charlotte to leave Tammy a message. Charlotte assured me that she would have Tammy call me right back because at that moment she was on another call. I waited for almost 2 hours cuz heck, I don't have anything to do.. Just a working mom that took time off her job to get this matter resolved. I called back and Charlotte, (don't mistake that smile in her voice, she's actually laughing at you, after all they have your money and there isn't anything you can do about it) and she turned the phone over to Norman Caviness. I tried to explain to him what had transpired. Having experienced what I have to that point, I really should have known that the owners wouldn't be anymore business like. But I try to give everybody a chance. With that said, he refused to listen, stated that I was harassing his company which I hadn't been and that he didn't care what Tammy had told me, that he wasn't doing anything. He resorted to calling my some horrible names and nobody from this end had talked any of them in that manner. We have been angry and have a right to be. We've been SCAMMED. They do not answer their phones except when they want to. This company has amnesia when it comes to customers. They are very kind and considerate to you until they have you deposit and then they forget who you are. So RUN do not walk away from this company as fast as you can. Oh and Tammy or Norman if you read this,you might want to do the math. My posting is the 23rd and out of the 23 postings you only have 6 to the good. What I came up with is that 3 out of 4 find your business to be bad business. And this is just one message board. Wish I looked at this before I gave them my credit card. I think I might have to go so far as to cancel the card just so they don't take anymore money. And again, Tammy or Norman, I'm still open to a full refund .. Oh and to clarify, tt's not slander when it facts.. it's slander if it's lies. So you can threaten me like you threatened other posters. But nobody threaten to come to your place of business and kick your butt like I was threatened by Norman...

Vicki you were NOT up front with your order on the Van.You did not tell the truth about the so called van. It was a ICE CREAM TRUCK We got you a hauler he went in to pick up the van. He called and said that this was not a Van it was a Ice Cream Truck with a cooler unit. There was no way he could haul it on his car hauler and if he could it would be more money. So we called you and told you that it would not move for that and it had to go on a flat bed trailer. And you would not go up on the price. And that is when the trouble started. And come to fined out you did this before with another Broker and hauler. Shame on you. So we canceled your order. You wasted our time , the haulers time and fuel. And also the other companys.We could go on about this but I am not. But we did our job and so did the hauler. It does pay in the long run to be up front about what you are shipping. Thank You CAC
