Aoto Zipper and Brian Corin did an excellent job of setting up the transport and have been very concerned about the result. Based upon his performance alone I woul contact them if the need arises to ship an other car.
Un fortunately they used Montway Auto transport as thier carrier. MONTWAY managed to cause severe damage to my car. First it couldn't be started upon arrival. They litterally had to hand push it off the carrier. I paid a $645 bill plus a towing expense to get it running. Prior to the transport it never had a problem and they loaded it onto the carrier just fine in working condition.
Once it was started it was discovered the "air ride system" was not working so basicly the schock absorbors we not filled with air. Back to the dealer for an other fix. At first it was thought to be due to the driver not fliping the switch to shut of the system which theya re supposed to do prior to shipping. What was discovered was that the air line to the compressor was broken in transport due to the tiedown chain being wraped on it over the rear axel. The Lincoln dealership in it's 50 years has never seen one of these broken other than mine. The bill $ 976.
WHAT I FOUND OUT IS NEVER DISCLOSED: Brokers like Auto Zipper do not carry the insurance in the quote, the carriers do. So I am now left with dealing with Montway who has rudely refused any responsibility for the damage. Brian has tried to intervien to no avail and has indicated they will not be used by him again. ( Thanks for the gesture) no let's get my $1500 out of pocket back!
