I picked American Auto because they assured me the car would be picked up on Monday 5/18/09 and delivered on Wednesday.5/20/09 The order was placed on Thursday.5/14/09.
Monday - After speaking to the dealer Monday afternoon the car had not been picked up.. No-one at American Auto could say why. I was then told tuesday morning that there was no pickup on Monday because it was raining?. But he would definitely pick up on Tuesday and deliver on Thursday . Christopher was going to call me back to confirm, the call never came.
Tuesday - No pickup again because, who knows, I could never get a straight answer. But he would definitely pick it up on Wednesday delivery now on Friday. Person on the phone was going to call me back and verify this, the call never came.
Wednesday- Driver hadn't picked up yet as of 2:00pm but he was "20 minutes away" and headed there next. As of 7:00 EST ( 5 hours later) and when the dealer was closing the car was still there and no one had even contacted them yet about the pick up. As usual, the follow up confirmation call from earlier in the day had never come.
At this point I called Discover and canceled / reversed the charges made as these people can't be trusted and if they would have picked up the car who knows how long it would have taken to actually get here. I am now flying to Tampa to pick it up myself and drive it back. If you decide to use american Auto transport, don't say you weren't warned !!!
