I considered the cost/ benefit of having my rear ended car repaired where it was at and then going after it or having it shipped home and fixed. You would have to wait for it to be repaired, take State Farm's word the repair would be OK and the car could be driven home, fly down and miss work (2 day trip, arriving when the body shop was open), rent a car from the airport and either drive straight through or get a hotel room for one night. What I decided to do was have AmeriFreight ship it to me for less cost ($700, State Farm agreed to pay for the shipping) than the other option via a licensed, insured transport company that only required me to meet the truck at a local body shop to inspect the car upon arrival. A carrier was found in 1 day for a reasonable price, car picked up two days later, delivered 3 days later, over Labor day weekend. The whole process went smoothly with good communication with both Brett and the Holbrook Transport. The car was received with no shipping damage and i recommend Amerifeight to a friend.
