Before contacting Amerifreight I had done a considerable amount of shopping around and all I got for my troubles were hundreds (literally) of automatic quotes from brokers. I am still getting them! With Amerifreight I was able to call and talk to a "live person" and discuss options. I dealt directly with Bob and given the information I provided, he suggested that we start by trying to get a "super-saver" rate. ($1000 total). He advised me that the chances were low that a driver would bite especially given that I was shipping a larger vehicle (BMWX5). At the end of the week we increased the offer to $1250 and within 12hours had a driver! The driver arrived on time was exceptionally courteous! He worked with a company called ACE transport. Six days later the car was delivered. Not bad for a coast to coast trip!
Whereas the cost of the shipping was more than I was quoted by other companies I very much doubt that I could have found a better deal.
