Booked transport for my vehicle on Thursday April 3d to be picked up the next day. Transporting a vehicle from Florida to New York. Was assure by the Ameri rep that it would be picked up the next day on the 4th. Paid a $250 fee, and was told at the time the cost would be $700 to transport the vehicle. The next day comes, and was told the driver had a mechanical issue with the truck and was working on another transporter. Well, this new transport would cost $1100!!!Went back and forth with Ameri and on Sunday we were given the number of a “driver” who would pick up our vehicle that day. “Driver” calls us and wants $800 deposit by Zelle or PayPal friends and family. No way! There is no buyer protection with those two platforms.We agreed on PayPal goods and services, with the balance of another $800 paid in cash on delivery. Meanwhile the rep from Ameri kept calling and calling to make sure no price is discussed. After paying $800, the “driver” said he’d be there within an hour to pick up the vehicle. No surprise he was a no show. Remember, this is the driver that Ameri set us up with. As of today, April 8th, no transport. Filing a claim with PayPal to get my $800 back and Ameri still reaching out to book us a transport with the price continually increasing. No way at this point do I trust Ameri or any “driver” assigned to me.
