Scam!

AAA ALL STAR DISCOUNT quoted $400 to transport a vehicle from our automotive business in Virginia to a customer in Texas. They charged our credit card $199, and said the balance was to be paid to the driver on delivery of the vehicle. The order was placed with AAA ALL STAR DISCOUNT on August 27,2011. They were scheduled to collect the vehicle on August 30, 2011. When they did not collect the vehicle we contacted them and they said we gave them 3 wrong phone numbers and they could not collect the vehicle. This was not true, and even if it was they still had our email. Additionally they had our address and all the vehicle details to complete the shipment, all they needed to do was direct the carrier to collect it. After several emails and calls they continued to say they will look for another carrier. Then on my last conversation with them they said that they needed more money than the original quote if we wanted the vehicle shipped. I was not willing to accept their bait and switch tactic and therefore asked for a refund, they declined, shouted on the phone at me, insulted me and then hang up.

THIS CAR WAS DISPATCHED TO BE PICKED UP BY DRIVER ON 8/30. BOTH WE AND THE DRIVER CALLED THE CONTACT # PROVIDED BY CUSTOMER RAMI ABASS, WHICH WAS A DISCONNECTED NUMBER. THIS SAME DISCONNECTED PHONE # WAS WRITTEN BY CUSTOMER IN 3 DIFFERENT PLACES ON THE ORDER FORM;FOR PICK UP, FOR DELIVERY AND FOR INITIAL CONTACT. WE THEN TRIED TO EMAIL HIM WITH EMAIL ADDRESS HE PROVIDED, WE FINALLY GOT A RESPONSE FROM HIM 3 DAYS LATER, AFTER THE EMAIL WAS SENT AND THE DRIVER WAS LONG GONE. DRIVER COULDN'T WAIT. DESPITE OUR HARD WORK AND OUTSTANDING EFFORTS OF TRYING TO REACH THE CUSTOMER EVERY WHICH WAY WE POSSIBLY COULD, WE COULDN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM. THERE WERE NO OTHER CONTACT #'S TO CALL. WE ALWAYS NEED TO VERIFY TO MAKE SURE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT AND SOMEONE WILL BE THERE WHEN THE DRIVER ARRIVES. NATURALLY, WE WILL NEVER SEND THE DRIVER OUT ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE- WE CALL TO SCHEDULE THE PICK UP FIRST. DESPITE THIS, WE ATTEMPTED TO FIND HIM ANOTHER CARRIER BUT WITH LABOR DAY WEEKEND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AS QUICKLY AS RAMI DEMANDED SO HE WENT AND DOUBLE BOOKED WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. NO ONE ASKED HIM FOR ADDITIONAL MONEY, NO IDEA WHAT HE IS RAMBLING ABOUT.
