We earlier posted our experience with this company, which resulted in our van sitting at the port in newark not being shipped, for 4 months, djue to an outstanding bill owed by 1WorldAutomovers to the transporter in NJ. They had taken our money and applied it to their outstanding bill to him, and then never replaced the funds, so he wouldn't ship our vehicle. They refused to refund any of our moneyehicle picked up. The vehicle was finally shipped early November 2010 through another shipping company, arrived in Lagos Dec 2010, and was delivered to our home in Africa on Christmas Day. All of this was done very easily and quickly by this other company, even though it had to be coordinated from Africa, as my husband had been there since the vehicle was dropped off in NJ in June 2010. 1WorldAutomovers refused to refund any of our $2,700 shipping cost. We filed a formal BBB complaint with no results, and we notified the company we would come to Pompano Beach in person in February 2011, after we returned to the US from Africa, to claim the refund in person. We drove from Virginia to PB, only to find their offices locked up and empty. The adjacent business told us they thought the company may have gone into bankruptsy and closed. We tried their phone number several times ("not available") and their email (no response). If anyone has any recent info about the whereabouts of this company, please let us know. They said they would not refund our money because the title of our vehicle had been lost in NJ by the shipper, and until we could provide a replacement, the vehicle couldn't be shipped anyway. NOT TRUE. Yes, the title was misplaced by the shipper, but this was our second attempt to ship this vehicle, and the title had cleared Customs only weekd before we dropped it off. We told the shipper in NJ, but he refused to try to get the verification through Customs. Only later did he admit that the reason for the delay in the shipment was the replacement funds owed by 1WorldAutomovers. He said it wouldn't have mattered if he had the title in his hand, the vehicle wasn't getting shipped until they provided the funds (to replace the funds we provided for shiping our vehicle, bu they then creditied to their outstanding invoice with him for previous shipments by other people to other places.) If anyone knows how we can track these people down while we're in back in the states, let us know. We don't like that we paid twice to ship the vehicle, and they simply took our finds to pay their bill with their shipping company and never even blinked.
