| Words cannot give enough praise! |
I have had my car shipped one time prior to this, so I knew what to look for, or so I thought. My shipping arrangements were approached well in advanced of my actual needs, since it was around the holidays. I initially contacted the company I successfully used before, only to get a terrible customer service person that gave me the run around. After being strung along for several weeks, I ended up leaving to my destination without a carrier to pick up my car. So it sat in a friend's garage as I frantically searched for a company that would get the job done.
A second company was just as useless. The customer service was amazing, in fact possibly the best company I've ever dealt with. They were very kind and seemingly very accommodating. However, after nearly a month without a carrier scheduled, I started to get worried. I came across Mercury on this site, the same site I used to find the prior two, visited their website, and sent a quote request.
Within 24 hrs or less I had a voicemail on my phone from Eric at Mercury. Unfortunately I didn't get the message for two days. When I called him back, he assured me that he would have my car picked up by the end of the week. Skeptical, I asked for more info, some pricing, and did more research. I wanted to be sure that he wasn't just selling me on some nonsense.
Eric was very honest with everything he told me. He even was very up front about the fact that they don't require a deposit until the car is picked up. None of the "give us some money, and we'll pretend to look for a carrier for you" nonsense that some other companies try. Everything sounded great, almost too great, but I was not to be disappointed. Eric called within a day and he had a carrier ready to pick my car up. It wouldn't be by the end of the week, but close enough! Eric did exactly what he said.
In fact, one of the best parts of working with Mercury was their communication. There was not a detail spared, and anything I wanted to know, they told me. They were up front, very transparent, and let me know what was happening every step of the way. Communication is so simple, and yet so many people, and businesses, fail to communicate on even the most basic of levels. Mercury has a fantastic system set up, and they are very professional.
My car was picked up early the next week with a 10 day window for delivery. A huge winter storm was plowing through the southwest and on its way toward the midwest, northeast, and east coast. I was almost betting on the fact that my car would be delayed, but I was just happy to know it was on it's way after 8 weeks of run around from other companies. To my surprise and excitement, the truck driver called me after only 4 days letting me know he would be able to drop off my car in the morning.
The driver was super nice, and very pleasant to deal with. Everything went exactly as it was supposed to, and my car arrived 5 days early. In fact the driver had only left Arizona 2.5 days earlier, and arrived in southern Kentucky the night before we met. I could not have been happier.
So what took 2 different 5-star rated companies 8 weeks to fail on, Eric and Mercury were able to get contracted in 24 hrs, and completed in LESS than a week! Absolutely superb service, and well worth the expense. My sincerest thanks to Eric and Mercury for their excellent work, and fantastic support! I'm so happy to have my car again, all 48 hrs that I've had it back now! Thanks!
