Dishonest and Unhelpful

Beware

I received quote of 645 to move my mini van. Order placed on 4/21/2008. GT states would be loaded within 7-10 days.

Called after 2 weeks and only would get voice mail.

Called everyday for 1week straight.

Emailed every day for 1 week straight.

Still no answer.

Finally received email from GT(actual email below)

We contacted the transporter on Thursday to see why they had not loaded the vehicle yet, there dispatcher advised he contacted the pick up location and left a message advising there truck was broken down and they would not be able to load it right now. They were hoping for the truck to be out of the shop within a few days but they are going to be down a little longer then expected. As of now I can cancel your order and get your deposit refunded or I can try and find another carrier that can pickup the vehicle. Let me know what you would like to do.

Long story short vehicle never loaded. What basically transpired is GT quoted too low and could not move vehicle. I was never told that if i pay 200 $ more it would get moved. Just was told their was a delay. I asked for refund. Finally received refund today 5/23/2008 over a month later. I contacted another carrier on 5/20/2008, vehicle loaded today 5/23/2008 and have delivery date of 5/27/2008. For 900$.

Company not honest, lacks integrity, and does not know what customer service is.
Beware cheaper is not better. Feel free to contact me via email for any other information.

when I first spoke with this customer even before he placed the order I told him that there was a back log of vehicles coming out of FL and that the estimated time would be 1-9 days to schedule the driver. I found a company to pick up the vehicle however on there way down to the pick up location there truck brokedown. Once i found this out from the carrier i e-mailed the customer to let him know the situation and that i was trying to find another carrier to pick up the vehicle but because of the increase in fuel costs it was getting more difficult to confirm a driver. I advised him many times that he could cancel the order and his deposit would be refunded in full, I understand his frustration and i apologized for not being able to facilitate the move, it was not sometime I wanted to happen but unfortunately in this industry sometimes it is uncontrolable. I hope that future customers will understand.... please take a look at all the reviews and you will see that we are a very deticated company and I do everything I can to make my customers happy.
