MY DAMAGED BMW 323 Convertible in transport!

I couldn't believe what was said in the reviews that I've read since my car was shipped. This was not my experience in the least with this company! I shipped my car with them because of what I read. However, it's not what I experienced. I've had my car shipped many times with many different companies. Because I'm a Travel RN and I travel frequently. I try to be very cautious. I take pics right before they load my car, the odometer and the interior. Then I handed the driver $30 and told him to have a nice lunch on me. This shipping was a complete NIGHTMARE for me!

I paid the $125 to have them pick a company. Upon speaking with MIAH, who went on and on about this company she chose to ship my car. They were trustworthy, dependable, and had safe drivers. The professional MIAH never took one of my calls after she took my deposit! I suddenly kept going to voicemail. This should've been my first indication of the service that I was going to get from this company.

The arrangements were made and I was sent an email telling me to contact GLP Trucking out of Hialeah, FL to pick my car up. The first call to Joey who is the wife of the driver was so friendly. She told me at first she knew nothing about my car to picked up in LA. This was my 2nd clue that Miah wasn't very professional nor did she keep her word with me. I made several calls and sent many emails to try to get them to contact me. It was finally arranged and my car was picked up from the hospital that I worked at in LA. The drivers arrived, they spoke no English, and I had to call Joey at GLP Trucking to convey the instructions. My car was to be a top load, and they assured me after the next car, it would be placed on top. Upon receiving my car, it was on the bottom.

I kept in touch with Joey over the next 7 days until I arrived in FL to pick up my car. The times kept changing on when they would arrive. I explained to her that I signed a contract on the day it was to be delivered and the importance of it. This is when the nice and professional Joey changed. I was suddenly bothering her with my calls. Miah at SHIPYOURCAR disappeared off of the face of the earth. No one would answer my calls at their company.

I called GLP as soon as I landed and told her that I was waiting on my taxi. She became very irritated with me. My drivers can't be waiting on you. I became very uncomfortable with her tone. We had discussed the situation and the time and I was on track. My car arrived at my son's house. One of the drivers pulled my car away while I was thanking the driver for bringing my car. We were signing the paperwork, I gave him $650 in cash and a $50 check as they requested. I said,"Let's go inspect my car." We were on the way and he turned around and starting walking towards the semi, the other driver jumped in and they drove away. I was yelling at them to stop and come back. My son's neighbor's were yelling at them as well. I looked at my car and saw all of the damage to the hood, I got in and saw the odometer reading. They had drove my car 20 miles. Upon starting her, she sounded like a locomotive. I immediately called JOEY and told her what just happened. She told me the driver will come right back. They came back and by then my son had arrived home from work. He translated to them and asked them, "What happened to my Mom's car, why did you run and what are you going to do to fix it." It was such a unfortunate circumstance. I just couldn't believe it was happening. We got blank stares with no explanation of what happened. All they said is they don't know what happened. They were told to give me some money back. I was told to take it to get it checked out. I told them, "I was filing a claim and my car was going to be fixed properly." They picked up a car with no damage and I expected to receive my car with no damage. I've called Reuben at SHIPYOURCAR many times. He's been very pleasant to me. However, pleasant doesn't make up for what happened to my car and the way they've treated me in the process. I was told it was their first time to drive for this company and they have NO experience and have since been fired." This does not help me but will hopefully help someone after me. I'm left to contend with making trips to body shops and car dealers in a town that I just moved too. If that wasn't difficult enough. When my company called to verify that I paid them $650 to the driver." They told my company that all I gave them was $150. They know nothing about the $650 cash that I gave their driver. Shame shame shame...

We are sorry to hear that your vehicle was damaged in transport. We have followed up with the carrier and are happy to hear that they have compensated you for the damage of your vehicle and that the two drivers in question were terminated by the carrier of record on your transport.
