ACC do NOT care about the customer or cars

Advance Car Carrier Corp of Portland OR is in my opinion & experience a dis-honest, rude, arrogant, un-caring and dis-reputable firm/group of former USSR immigrants, who DO NOT care about the vehicles they transport or the customers who pay for their transportation services.

My unfortunate encounter with this company started when 2 1969 rare dune buggies that I purchased, needed to be transported from Everett WA to Sarasota FL. I enlisted the help of a broker firm (United Routes) who posted my cars for pick up. ACC agreed to under take this transaction for an agreed price of $1600 plus $300 brokerage fee.
The cars were collected from the sellers address in WA at 10pm and loaded behind the tractor unit as previously agreed by myself, the seller, ACC & the broker.
No inspection of the cars was undertaken at that time by the driver: ALEX, this driver did NOT have any new/unused Bill of Lading's, so he re-used the PINK copy of an old Bill of Lading and just completed the: from address, to address, year make model, $ rate and asked for the sellers signature (both cars on the same form).
The cars were then transported to ACC's terminal in Portland - loaded onto another transporter (but not behind the tractor unit), ALEX then wrote out a NEW Bill of Landing for each car and (still not noting the condition of each car) then forged the sellers signature.

When the cars reach me in Fl, I noticed that both cars were on the top level at the rear of the transporter and that one car had it's windshield SMASHED. When I questioned the driver SERGEY, he said that the car was like that when collected ACC has NO responsibility over damage to the cars whilst in transit. I asked to see the Bill of Lading for each car and NO WHERE was there any damage noted on the forms. When I pointed this out to SERGEY, he got a pen and checked the box "Damage all around, too much to list, Vehicle goes ASIS, ACC Corp. Not Responsible" on both forms in front of my face! Even thou the other car was not damaged and in good working order. SERGEY then demanded his money or said that the cars would go to a storage unit at my cost.

I noted on both forms that the windshield of one car was SMASHED and that I was unable to inspect either car prior to paying over the money and the cars being off loaded. All this time I was in contact with the Broker (United Routes). I was advised to speak to the seller to find out the condition of the cars when collected in WA, this I did and he told me all the above stated. He is unhappy about the conduct of ACC in the transportation of these cars, his signature being forged and the illegal Bill of Ladings.

When I telephoned ACC's office and spoke to the driver ALEX, he maintained that both cars were damaged prior to loading, ACC has no responsibility of the cars whilst in they transport them, he insisted that he inspected both cars at 10pm and noted the damage (but no damage was on the Bill of Ladings handed to me). When asked about the use of an old PINK copy, he admitted that when he arrived at ACC's terminal, he re-wrote the Bill of Ladings for each car and signed the sellers signature. He went on to say that my cars were "JUNK" and he "DIDN"T CARE" about the cars, the paperwork, the damage to the one car, ACC not being used by United Routes again, or me as the owner of these rare cars. He repeated over and over ACC has "NO RESPOSIBILTY", "I DON"T CARE". All he did care about was getting the money!

I have reported all of the above to my broker (United Routes) and they advised me to fill out this report. They are also under taking their own investigation into ACC's conduct in this matter.

I will NEVER use Advance Car Carrier Corp. of Portland OR. ever again to transport my cars. Further more the seller in WA (who is a car dealer & his Auto industry contacts) will NEVER use ACC. Neither will United Routes (notice issued to other brokerage firms about ACC's UN-PROFESSIONAL handleling of this matter). Finally, an organiser of car shows and car auctions in PA who I know, will advise everyone he knows NOT to use ACC in any transportation dealings.

I would ask all who read this report NOT to have any dealings with Advance Car Carrier Corp of Portland OR. as they are an un-trustworthy, un-professional, un-caring, arrogant and dis-reputable company that only care about themselves and money.

ACC and it's "employees" like ALEX and SERGEY give the Auto Transportation companies & truckers a bad name. If ACC stop getting business, then they might clean house and start caring about the cars they transport and the customers they serve and NOT JUST THEMSELVES!
